RuneScape new and beautiful version filmed

No matter how much you wish for it, runescape will always look like shit compared to other games.

i love the new graphics it's better than ever i mean who wouldn't?

RS was the first MMO I played, I loved it back when i had 56kb dial up internet and to much free time. Then RS2 came out it was even better then WoW came out and it was omfgwtf RS has never shown any major updates visual wise and for this to come out it is a big improvement, still not enough to make me come out of retirement but for a java based mmo it is finally looking like it should've a couple of years ago.

I suppose one of the reasons i hate this game is ( or seemingly, was) the hideous graphics. I mean jeeze, one of the first spells in RS was a white balloon looking piece of shit :D Whilst something like Anarchy Online had damn good lookers, or especially something like wow.

VBishop, please remember they use Javascript. They are already pushing the limits to what they can do.

Love the new graphics. My member account, Tannert20, looks amazing in his dharoks.

I still think it looks like crap. That's just me, though.

I understand it's a free browser MMO, but the graphics look lke they're cheaply made in Poser or something.

1. There has been a major graphical update to RuneScape before (RSC to RS2).
2. There's been a members option for longer than that graphics update and a fair proportion of regular players are paying members.
3. The graphics are impressive, especially as they're based on java. They still haven't managed to fix a few important things though, including walk animations. Anything beyond that and players would complain they're making a WoW clone, so they'll really have to work hard to make all changes "unique".
4. Everyone seems to hate RS, especially the closet players.

I can't imagine this will go well...
