This addon adds a HUD to your UI, showing all the information normally displayed by the Player and Target frames and more.
Always thought it was a shame that Drathal's HUD was given up on the way it was so, I have taken the core of that code and MetaMorphed it. :p
Added some features which I thought were pretty useful, and removed some of the excess stuff. Decided to release it, as no doubt there are others who enjoyed this as much as me.
Full credit to the original author of course, for the initial code.
Features:

Health/Mana Bars colour levels.
All Bars are animated.
Shows Level, Name, Class and Elite/Boss, Pet, NPC.
4 Alpha Settings for: Combat/Target selected/No Target/Player is regging.
4 Displaymodes for Health/Mana.

Hide Blizzard Player/Targetframe.
Target Menu with Leftclick on Targetname.
Player Menu with Rightclick on Playername.

zephus67 saidIf you use X-perl with metahud, not only do you get a really spiffy looking UI that many would drool over, but you get the right-click portrait functionality back in the target frame!
I think.... I'll verify that again tonight.
But still, how do you turn the HUD off? I'd certainly love the screen space. Maybe an option to turn only only in combat or inside an instance?

I love this mod, except for one thing: no portrait right click functionality! I've been looking up / commands to replace the default functionality, but can't find anything for changing party settings if you're the leader, or marking targets (skull, circle, etc.), or anything like that.
Normally I would just uninstall the addon and move on with my life, but I tried that and my portrait right click menu STILL won't come up. I'm now having to repair wow and reinstall all of my addons, and if that doesn't fix it I'll have to reinstall WoW . . .
PLEASE for the love of GOD fix it so that when you turn portraits on you can get a right click menu. I love this mod except for that one thing. Or, if anyone on here is reading this, can you please reply with some / commands that will allow me to have the same functionality? I'd like to be able to set myself to pass on random greens when I'm running a lowbie guildie through an instance, for example. Thanks in advance!

jforrestna saidLuv the HUD, its clean, viewport looks larger and not as cluttered. Two things I would like to see as an addon to this or with this, is the ability to target either faction (configurable) with the lowest health next to you. that, Mixed with an arrow that would rotate around the hud to point in the direction of your attacker/victim and with this HUD would make it very powerful in PvP situations.

Just one thing I would like to see implemented. You have pretty much all of the original Drathals HUD features except one that I find very useful. It is the buff feature that shows your buffs outside of the rightmost set of bars and along with it was a slide-bar that you could move to decide the length of buffs you want it to show. For example if you could set the bar to show any buff that is under 60 minutes or you could set it to say 30 seconds to show only long buffs that are fading away and proc buffs. Another feature I would like to see added on to this also besides the original DHUD feature would be the option to show all buffs regardless of length so that it would include auras.

sybec saidHey metahawk, love your addon and have been using it for over 6 months now. Anyway the only thing I have noticed in all that time is that on certain creatures a bar animates when they go to attack but it has no border. The only example I have is the Chillwind Chimaera in Winterfall east of Everlook. When they use their magic attack a red bar animates where usually casters have mana and it doesn't have an outline like the rest of the bars. Mine is setup to display my hp/mp on left and theirs on right. Like I said this is not a big deal, just thought I would point it out. Thanks again for the good work, keep it up please :)

fix the minimap button and this mod is a 5/5 stars for me!!
Also, For the bar thats on top of your character by default.... That is the Target of Target bar and name. I simply moved it below my Target's name so I could keep an eye on aggro in a raid, and also the health of the target (if I play a healer).

@wildrin: You remove it by unchecking "Show Target's Target" under the "General" tab.
I have a different question concerning it however: is it possible or, if not implanted yet, could it be possible to move the ToT health bar without moving the ToT text. I'd like to have the HP bar directly behind the name, but cant seem to move it seperatly to the text. Thanks in advance for an answer.

IceBerge saidFirst I'd like to say how much I love this add-on, it makes keeping track of my vital stats while I'm focusing on other things (healing, cc, whatever)!
There is one issue I've run into though, the minimap icon is seemingly randomly positioned around the minimap every time I log in. It is not consistant either. One time it may be in the upper right, another bottom center, and another back top center.
Other than that little quirk, great add-on!

Shockfile7 saidNice AddOn. I have to agree about the MiniMap button. The issue I want to bring up is the options that I would normally get when targeting someone of the same faction. You know, like Invite, Inspect, Follow, etc. All I get are the options for me when I right-click the targets name at the bottom of the HUD. I know that I could do it if I have the Wow original target frame showing, but I really like having that option which allows me to turn it off. Clears up screen space.
