    I'd like to see monkey quest use the in-game quest linking (new in 2.4) instead of just linking the text.

    I just tried to download MonkeyBuddy 2.6, and it downloaded a .rar file rather than a .zip file, which should be OK, but when Stuffit Expander tried to expand it, it gave me an error (I'm running on a Mac). It did make a folder, but the folder only had one file in it, so clearly it wasn't able to fully expand the .rar file.

    When I downloaded the new version of MonkeyQuest, it behaved just fine.

    Anyone else having this problem?

    This problem should be Mac related only. I just downloaded the rar file and I didn't have this issue. New uploads like v2.6.1 of MonkeyQuest are now in Zip form. For now, just download MonkeyPack v2.6.1 which is in Zip form, too. It includes the current MonkeyBuddy.

    Hi,

    I am wondering if you can make an option for Monkey Buddy, so we can move the minimap button around the map.

    @dinesh

    That's fixed in MonkeyBuddy v2.5, also noticed in the changelog.

    @razoon

    No this feature is not avaible in the current MonkeyMods. Maybe it will be implented in MonkeyMods v3.0.

    Jim-Bim: I haven't downloaded the latest version, but with the previous one I also saw nothing but three blank tab headers. You had to be smart enough to click the first tab, then the monkey buddy options would appear, but the tab header remained blank.

    BTW...is it possible to announce quest-items to the party I am in?

  • Dec. 18, 2006, 08:25AM (1 year, 5 months ago)

    Somehow the MonkeyBuddy screen is empty. I just see the borders and the 3 click boxes in the top, and the close button right-bottom corner.

    Edit: nvm I got it

    @johtro

    That's because curse included the wrong screenshots for this mod! Just deleted them and I will upload new ones in the near future.

    @razoon

    Are you using any MonkeyMods which you want to configure with MonkeyBuddy?

    The name of the minimap iconframe is called MonkeyBuddyIconButton.

    Is there any way to get MonkeyQuest to auto-hide while in combat? It seems to get in the way when targeting things at a distance sometimes, but is really useful otherwise.

    Is there a way to move the MonkeyBuddy icon? I reconfigured my UI, including a rescaling of my minimap, and I need to move the icon up just a tad. If there isn't a way, can you tell me what the frame name is so I can move it with MoveAnything? I looked in the .xml file, but all I could find was the frame name for the pane the button opens.

    The new version of monkey addon is found here http://www.toctastic.net/

    If you can not see the Folder for MonkeyBuddy then you will need to set Windows to show you hidden folders.

    1)Open any folder on you computer. 2)Select "Tools --> Folder Options" from the top of the window. 3)Click the "View" Tab 4)Look for the option "Hidden Files and Folders" and check the box for "Show Hidden Files and Folders" 5)Click Apply 6)Click OK

    You should now see the MonkeyBuddy Folder. It will be somewhat transparent from the other folders. This is to let you know that the folder is set to be hidden

    Now follow cerveau's directions.

    When done I suggest you go back and set hidden files and folders back to hidden. This will prevent you fromn accidently deleting files you shouldn't

    To make this show up in WOW do this: (as the download file has the "hidden" attrib active)

    Right Click The Monkey Buddy Folder - Choose Properties Clear the tick in the "Hidden" field Click Apply Click "Apply changes to this folder, Subfolders & Files"

    Restart WoW - it should now appear in the ADDONS list

    I've since redown loaded and saved it else where to open it up alone and found only thing in the file is the Install file.
